Features 3
The standard of tomorrow yet packed with the latest trends.

■ Features of the light stitching method ■
Light, supple with a high level of shock absorption
Each stitch of the thread is sewn longer (slightly puffy) than conventional stiches to provide elasticity and softness to the futon. The core padding used for the lightweight bogu is tailored with the light stitching method to enhance the shock-absorbing function and flexibility while maintaining lightness. This method has been developed precisely for kendo competitions.

[Product Description]

[Men (Headgear)]
Powerful and beautiful from any angle.

Crafted with the light stitching method, it feels light yet offers the security for active wear.

Adding a diagonal cut to the shorter mendare created a lighter weight and a neat appearance.
The length and specifications are the most supported among the competition types.
*Compliant with the new standards, the length covers the shoulders.

Our original menboshi decoration looks powerful.

Instead of the trend of the past few years of extremely simple, we incorporated our original menboshi decoration to add a powerful presence that has never been seen before.

The kazariito (decorative braids) consist of white and bright iron navy colors—compatible with each other—where the white jabara pattern stands out.

4 mm and 2 mm gunome and name-zashi stitching.

Top Part
Plenty of core padding is used for the top part to make it puffy and to enhance shock absorbency.
The mendare (wings) part is crafted in consideration of firmness so that a shape can be easily formed.

For the ago (throat protector), diagonal lines are stitched to create a high-class look and feel.

The chikara leather used for the mimikawa area and the tenchi (forehead and chin pads) are adorned with an inden black dragonfly pattern.

Inden is also methodically applied to the inside.

Hohowa (inner ring)
The hohowa is made of Sillead for excellent sweat absorption and quick drying.

[Kote (protective gloves)]
The premium kote is an article that everyone will agree with.

Ease of holding, softness, shock absorption, and design.
This kote is a first-class product in every aspect.

This is the ideal kote!
Soten’s grip.
Hold the shinai firmly with the little finger in a natural form.

From the moment you put on the kote, your hands form to hold the shinai.

The conventional kote (in a brand-new condition) takes time to fit into your hand for a proper grip.

Soten’s kote has a soft wrist part, even when brand new, which means you will quickly become accustomed to using it.

The wrist part is decorated with thin diagonal lines, creating greater softness and allowing you to manipulate the shinai freely.

Wrist angle to support your grip.
Crafted with eguri (curve).
The wrist part is raised to create an angle so you can grasp the shinai naturally from above.
Soten’s eguri is a little deeper than previous designs, and through trial and error, the best eguri has been achieved.

Crafted for excellent shock absorption.

The part that gets hit on the right hand has thicker core padding for outstanding shock absorption.

Anti-slip leather for the tsuba (shinai guard)
An inden black dragonfly pattern increases the sense of quality.

[Do (plastron)]
Light and exceptionally durable.

Tsubasa (wings) decoration
The contrast between the iron navy blue decorative braids and the white color shines bright.

[Tare (waist-groin protector)]
Beautiful and powerful.
It feels light yet offers security as active wear.

Impressive decoration on the tare.

A diagonal cut is applied to the odare (large flap) on both sides.
Lighter, neat fitting.

The odare on both sides is tailored with naname-zashi (diagonal stitching).
Naname-zashi is used only for the odare on both sides, which makes it easier to form a shape and offers more comfort.

Tapered tarehimo (belt).
The narrower end makes it easier to tie the himo.

The inden black dragonfly pattern also adorns the reverse side.
No cutting corners even on the invisible parts.
