This shinai, named Rao, is characterized by its extra super-thick hilt.
The diameter is quite large at 33 mm.
Those with larger hands can grasp it firmly, and those with smaller hands can grasp it without using much grip strength.
Thanks to the combination of the extra super-thick hilt and dobari (wide body), the center of gravity is located more toward the grip, making the tip light and achieving an amazingly good balance.
