How to measure the correct size of kendo armor
Notes on how to measure
✓ Always use a measuring tape (for sewing) when taking measurements
Rulers, measuring tapes, strings, or ribbons may not give accurate measurements.
Notes on using a measuring tape
✓ Make sure the tape is not too tight or too loose.
✓ Measure from the start point to the end point by placing the tape along your head or face with your hand
✓ Make sure the tape is in the correct measuring position.
✓ Always have at least two people take measurements
It is difficult to check the head, sides, and back, so you need at least two people to take accurate measurements.
(One person is fine for the waist circumference)
✓ Check the measurement method for each part and measure accurately
A small difference can greatly change the fit, so be sure to be accurate.
Armor that does not fit your body size can be very dangerous and can lead to injury.
The size you have been using is important, but it is important to measure your current size.
